Greetings fellow soul beings!
Some of you who have found yourself here may know me personally, some may know of me, and others won’t have a clue who I am. Regardless of which it is, here is a little bit to know about me:
For years, since late middle school, I have been keeping diaries and journals. For me, it was always a way to help process and get through the things I was experiencing in my real life. Most of my childhood was pretty unstable and brutal, and I really only had myself to lean on. I spent a lot of time feeling lonely. Even though I had friends, and some wonderful moments throughout childhood, I never truly felt seen or heard. Other times, I always felt too scared to share what was really going on in my life, afraid of being removed from my home even though things weren’t always great. Or I simply felt ashamed to share my truth. My diaries and journals are some of my most prized possessions, that I still have to this day. They showcase the most vulnerable and raw parts of who I am.
Once I entered my 20’s, I had a spiritual awakening; and for me that healed and changed so much of what I felt I was meant to do with my life. I spent a LOT of time healing from my trauma, and as a result of that, I journaled and documented as much of it as I could. I wanted physical evidence of my evolution, aside from writing it out as a way to help make sense of it all. As I continued to deconstruct the parts of me that only existed for survival, and finally started becoming who I have always been, and simultaneously becoming who I wanted to be, I began to feel a strong push that I was meant to share my words and my story with others, instead of just keeping all the writings for myself. I figured if I felt the way I did, then surely with there being nearly 9 billion other people on the planet, someone else had to relate to my own story.
So I give a piece of myself to you all you dear readers, those who know me and who don’t. Most of my writings will blend themes of life with a spiritual perspective, as my awakening had a large role to play in helping me become the person I am today. I’ll also touch on social topics, theological themes, and probably even politics. While this is not a blog for activism in itself, everything is innately intertwined, and you either recognize that, or choose to not see it. My hope is that by sharing my experiences, as well as my deepest thoughts and feelings with you, that something can make you feel like you aren’t alone in this world too.
Happy reading!!!
